To feel connected, you must first feel safe.

How are connections created? Where do we even learn how to deeply connect?

Throughout my life, I’ve yearned for deeper connections with my loved ones – my husband, children, parents, and close friends. I’ve always somehow understood that these connections should be full of authentic love, genuine trust, respect, and safety in vulnerability.

Have you ever felt this longing too? At a certain point in my life I actually believed it was too late for me to find and build these connections, but a few decades into this life thing… I’ve learned that it’s never too late.

Creating Safe Spaces

To truly feel connected, you must first feel safe. Safety can be a very challenging thing to let yourself feel. To feel safe we have to convince out body to lower our guard, share vulnerably, and forge deep bonds. I’ve come to understand the importance of safety in nurturing meaningful connections. In my work in psychology, life coaching, and police work, I’ve also come to understand how unnatural it can feel to trust, share, and belong for those who have been in survival mode for a far too long.

Growing up, I experienced a longing to connect deeper with my loved ones, but I went through a period where I felt stifled and silenced in an environment where expressing oneself was discouraged. These early experiences shaped my perception of communication and hindered my ability to give myself to more genuine connections. It’s that safety script we write when we realize our needs aren’t being met… whatever it takes to feel safe, even if it hurts us.

Reflecting on my upbringing and the challenges my family faced, I realized the role that safety plays in relationships. Without a sense of safety, it can feel overwhelming to express ourselves authentically or trust others with our vulnerabilities.

My own journey to break free from these patterns led me to discover the power that lies in communication. By creating safe spaces for expression and vulnerability, I learned how to navigate all kinds of relationships and connections in the process. I went from believing my voice didn’t matter to refusing to play small or remain silent. There’s an art to making space for communication and connections, and I’m here to help you do that.

Breaking Cycles

Your wants and needs should be met. Your voice matters. You’re not too much. You’re more than enough. You are greater than the sum of your struggles and experiences… there’s so much more of you to uncover and share freely with those you love.

True connection is not elusive, it just requires faith… in yourself and others. My work has lead to me to helping women love themselves so much it overflows in those around them. Imagine being so filled up with joy and care for yourself that it comes naturally to love yourself wholly. What if you trusted and believed in who you are so much that it never felt scary to be yourself and go after what you want in this life?

This is what I do. I walked this path, gained the skills, and made the safe space for you to explore your communication styles, confront limiting beliefs, and make those authentic connections.

Our Women’s Group Coaching Program, Authentically Me, is your path to your best self, personal success, and relationships grounded in trust, respect, and understanding. Experience the joy of genuine connection – it all starts with safety. It all starts right here.
